Process art is all about the experience the children have while they’re creating. The materials used, their placement, and the general construction of a work takes precedence over the finished product.

Yes. When classes are full, you may be added to a wait list upon request, do not submit payment until a spot has opened for you.
No. Each child must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.
Dress for mess! All of our paints are non-toxic and smocks are always provided.
Yes. You are more than welcome to trial our class before signing up. Trial sessions MUST be pre-booked and are free.
We can only offer casual positions if there are vacancies within the class. These sessions are $22.00 per child, Payable by Cash. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL! All sessions NEED to be pre-booked. This is simply because we need to know numbers of children in advance so that we can plan sessions properly, continue to offer high quality activities and make sure we bring along enough materials for everyone.
No. The session price includes all materials, protective smocks for children, aprons for adults & weekly take home playdough pack.
Siblings are welcome to all sessions however it is expected that they will NOT participate. An area will be set for younger children to play whilst their older sibling completes the session. Parents are expected to monitor all their children when attending Mini Makers Studio sessions.
We do not provide any sibling discounts for any of our classes.
Your child is allowed one make-up class per term. Make up classes CAN NOT be rolled over to new term.
To be eligible for a make up class, please give notice BEFORE his/her class begins. Your notice can be in the form of a email, text or phone call.
2017 Term dates are as follows:
- Term One: January 30th – March 31st
- Term Two: April 18th – June 30th
- Term Three: July 17th – September 22nd
- Term Four: October 9th – December 22nd
In 1972, architect Simon Nicholson developed the Theory of Loose Parts; the idea that loose parts, materials which can be moved around, designed and redesigned, and tinkered with; create infinitely more opportunities for creative engagement than static materials and environments. Basically, the more materials there are the more people can interact.
‘Loose parts’ theory when related to children, is about remembering that the best play comes from things that allow children to play in many different ways and on many different levels. The play environment needs to promote and support imaginative play though the provision of ‘loose parts’ in a way that doesn’t direct play and play opportunities, but allows children to develop their own ideas and explore their world.
